Keep everyone happy with two pork meals designed to please both kids and adults!
- Heat half the oil in a nonstick saucepan over medium heat. Add onion. Cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened. Add sugar, vinegar, 1 tablespoon cold water and two-thirds of the apple. Season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Cover. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook, stirring, for 10 to 12 minutes or until apple is tender. Remove from heat. Cover to keep warm.
- Place flour on a plate. Season with salt and pepper. Place egg in a bowl. Place breadcrumbs on a plate.
- Toss half the steaks in flour mixture. Transfer to a plate. Cut remaining steaks into thick strips. Toss strips in flour mixture. Dip in egg, shaking off excess. Toss in breadcrumbs. Transfer to a plate. Heat remaining oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Cook whole steaks for 2 to 3 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Cover to keep warm. Add steak strips to pan. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towel.
- Season whole steaks with salt and pepper. Serve with balsamic apples and salad leaves.
