- Sift flour into a bowl and make a well in the centre. Add egg and milk. Whisk until smooth. Stir in cheese and beef. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add enough oil to cover the base of a large frypan. Heat over medium heat. Drop a rounded tablespoon of mixture into the pan. Repeat to make 6 small fritters, allowing for them to spread. Cook for 2 minutes or until golden underneath and bubbles appear on the surface. Turn over and cook for 1 minute or until cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with remaining mixture, adding more oil if required and heating between additions.
