Cooking Meat Char siu pork with noodle and sesame salad

Create an authentic Asian meal in under half an hour with this simple pork cutlet recipe.

  1. Place noodles in a heatproof bowl. Cover with boiling water. Stand for 10 minutes or until noodles are soft. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, combine sesame oil, vegetable oil, soy sauce, sugar, half the sesame seeds and 1 tablespoon of rice wine in a small bowl. Set aside. Combine char siu sauce and remaining rice wine in a ceramic dish. Add pork cutlets and turn to coat.
  3. Drain noodles. Stir through beansprouts, capsicum, onions and soy sauce mixture.
  4. Lightly grease a barbecue plate or chargrill. Heat over high heat. Cook pork for 5 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Remove to a plate. Cover with foil and set aside for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve pork with rice noodle salad, topped with remaining sesame seeds.
