Cooking Meat Sesame pancakes with char siu pork

Create sesame pancakes for your next dinner to create the flavours of Asia at home. Roll them with pork, snow peas and chives for a filling feast!

  1. Place flour and sesame seeds in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Make a well in the centre. Add egg and milk. Whisk to combine. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Combine pork and char siu sauce in a bowl. Spray a large frying pan with oil. Heat over medium-high heat. Cook pork, in batches, for 2 to 3 minutes each side or until browned and cooked through. Cool slightly. Thinly slice.
  3. Spray pan with oil. Using 1 tablespoon batter per pancake, cook 1 pancake at a time for 1 to 2 minutes each side or until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate. Repeat with remaining batter to make a total 12 pancakes.
  4. Place 1 pancake on a flat surface. Top with snow pea sprouts, pork mixture and toasted sesame seeds. Roll up tightly to enclose filling. Secure each pancake with a garlic chive. Repeat with remaining pancakes, snow pea sprouts, pork mixture, sesame seeds and chives. Serve.
