Steamed broccolini with herbed butter

Cooking Vegetarian Steamed broccolini with herbed butter

A cross between broccoli and gai lan, this dark green vegie has a long, elegant stem and a small head. The best thing is, theres no waste - both head and stem are tender and tasty.

  1. Place the butter, shallot, parsley, tarragon and chives in a medium bowl. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  2. Cook the broccolini in a saucepan of salted boiling water for 5 minutes or until bright green and tender crisp. Drain.Transfer to a serving dish. Top with the butter mixture and set aside until the butter melts. Serve.
