Salted maple old-fashioned

An old -fashioned cocktail gets a trendy twist with the addition of salt and maple syrup.

Combine The Singleton Spey Cascade Single Malt Scotch Whisky, maple syrup, salt and bitters (optional) in a glass.
Add ice and stir until the glass starts to frost up.
Add remaining Scotch whisky and stir for another 10 seconds.
Garnish with an orange peel.
