Cooking Vegetarian Spiced fig chutney

Homemade chutney is so simple to make and adds amazing flavour to burgers, baguettes and chicken.

  1. Combine figs, vinegar, sugar, cinnamon, mixed spice and oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 2 minutes or until mixture comes to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, partially covered, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until mixture is thick. Cool. Transfer to an airtight container.
