  1. Combine the five-spice and salt, and rub evenly over the chicken fillets.
  2. Heat the oil in a large non-stick frying pan. Add the chicken and cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes each side or until browned and just cooked through. Transfer to a large plate and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
  3. Meanwhile, combine the stock, water, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and cinnamon stick in a large saucepan. Cover and bring to the boil over high heat.
