Whether served at the beginning of the day for breakfast or at the end of dinner as dessert, this fruit compote is always delicious.
- Combine soft drink, honey and cinnamon in a large saucepan. Place over medium heat. Cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes or until honey dissolves.
- Add apples, apricots, pears and peaches. Bring to the boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer, stirring, for 20 minutes or until fruit is tender. Remove cinnamon and discard.
- Reserve half the fruit and 1/4 cup of the syrup (see tip) for related recipe. Divide remaining fruit between bowls. Spoon over syrup. Serve with yoghurt.
