Make breakfast a special occasion with this simple combination.
- Combine 80ml (1/3 cup) milk, 2 eggs and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence in a bowl. Cut 4 thick slices raisin bread into quarters.
- Melt 1/2 teaspoon butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat until foaming. Dip 4 bread pieces, 1 at a time, in the egg mixture. Cook for 45 seconds each side or until golden. Divide among four serving bowls. Repeat with more butter and the remaining bread pieces and egg mixture.
- Divide 2 bananas, thinly sliced, among the bowls. Drizzle 1 teaspoon maple syrup over each bowl and serve immediately.
