Reminisce classic dinner party dishes with these crowd-pleasing chocolate mousse desserts.
- Place chocolate and butter in a heatproof microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium (50%) for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring with a metal spoon halfway through cooking, or until smooth. Set aside for 5 minutes to cool.
- Meanwhile, using an electric mixer, beat 1 cup cream until soft peaks form.
- Add egg yolks to chocolate mixture. Stir until combined. Stir in half the whipped cream until combined. Fold in remaining whipped cream. Wash and dry beaters and bowl.
- Using electric mixer, beat eggwhites until stiff peaks form. Fold half eggwhite into chocolate mixture until combined. Fold in remaining eggwhite. Spoon mixture into 6, 1/2 cup-capacity glasses. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours or until set.
- Meanwhile, using electric mixer, beat 1 teaspoon sugar and remaining cream until soft peaks form. Transfer to a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate. Combine strawberries, liqueur and remaining sugar in a bowl. Set aside for 1 hour to macerate.
- Top mousse with chantilly cream and strawberry mixture. Serve sprinkled with grated chocolate.
