Baked cherry custards

Cooking Vegetarian Baked cherry custards

Whip up these tasty desserts with just a few simple ingredients.

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced. Divide cake between four 1 cup-capacity, ovenproof ramekins. Top each with 1 tablespoon jam.
  2. Place milk in a saucepan over low heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 3 to 4 minutes or until warm. Whisk eggs and sugar in a heatproof jug. Gradually whisk in milk.
  3. Pour milk mixture into ramekins. Place in a large baking dish. Pour boiling water into baking dish until halfway up sides of ramekins. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden and just set. Carefully remove dish from oven. Remove ramekins from water. Cool for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve.
