With the right combination of tasty ingredients a hearty soup becomes the perfect meal in itself.

  1. Place the stock, tomato passata, sugar, salt and pepper in a large saucepan over medium heat and bring to a high simmer.
  2. Add the tortellini and cook following packet instructions or until al dente.
  3. To serve, spoon the tortellini among serving bowls and pour over the soup. Sprinkle with basil and serve immediately.
