These crunchy cheese twists are incredibly more-ish. Once you start eating them, you just cant stop.
- Preheat oven to 220°C. Line 2 baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
- Brush each pastry sheet with a little egg. Sprinkle piri piri seasoning over 2 sheets. Arrange a layer of cheese slices over the piri piri, then finish with a second sheet of pastry, egg side down. Press firmly to stick them together.
- Cut into 1.5cm wide strips. Carefully lift each strip and twist several times. Lay on prepared trays. Bake for 15 minutes until twists are golden and puffed, swapping trays halfway through cooking time. Serve cold with olives and artichokes as part of a platter or warm with a bowl of soup.
