White Heat

Cooking Coctails White Heat

A YUMMY hot drink made with white chocolate. VARIATIONS: Substitute another liquor or liqueur for the cognac, if you prefer. Try whiskey, Grand Marnier, or creme de menthe.

  1. Whisk the heavy cream with an electric whisk until thickened. Set aside.
  2. Pour the milk into a small pan and bring to just below boiling point, then remove from the heat. Meanwhile, finely chop the chocolate.
  3. Whisk the chocolate, instant coffee, and cognac into the milk and continue to whisk until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into 4 warmed glasses or mugs. Top each with a spoonful of the whipped cream, sprinkle with the nutmeg, and serve immediately.
