Cooking Child Carrot French fries with minted salt

Carrots make deliciously crunchy French fries especially when seasoned with a generous pinch of sea salt and dried mint.

  1. Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan-forced. Lightly grease 2 large baking trays.
  2. Cut carrots in half crossways. Cut each half into 4mm thick slices. Cut slices into 4mm thick sticks. Place carrot, in a single layer, on prepared trays. Spray with oil.
  3. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, swapping trays halfway, or until golden and tender. 4 Combine mint and salt in a small bowl. Season with pepper. Sprinkle carrots with salt mixture. Serve.
