Take your traditional Aussie barbecue to the next level with these tasty cider and mustard braised sausages.

  1. Preheat oven to 220C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Place the potato, cabbage, apple and sage on the prepared tray. Drizzle with 1 tbs oil. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 20 mins or until lightly browned and tender.
  3. Meanwhile, heat the remaining oil in a medium frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the sausages and cook, turning, for 4-5 mins or until browned all over. Combine the stock, cider, mustard and garlic in a jug. Add the cider mixture to the pan. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, covered, for 5 mins or until sausages are cooked.
  4. Transfer sausages to a plate. Combine the cornflour with 1 tablespoon cold water in a small jug. Add to the pan and cook, stirring, for 2 mins or until the sauce boils and thickens.
  5. Transfer the sausages and veggies to a serving platter. Drizzle with the sauce and sprinkle with spring onion to serve.
