To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 350g pkt Vetta Less-Carbs trevelle pasta, 350g tuna steaks, Olive oil spray, 2 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice , 200g semi-dried tomatoes, rinsed, 1/2 cup roughly chopped continental parsley, Salt & freshly ground pepper .

Ingredients:

  • 350g pkt Vetta Less-Carbs trevelle pasta 
  • 350g tuna steaks 
  • Olive oil spray 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice 
  • 200g semi-dried tomatoes, rinsed 
  • 1/2 cup roughly chopped continental parsley 
  • Salt & freshly ground pepper 

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of boiling water until al dente. Drain and return to the pan.
  2. Meanwhile, heat a chargrill pan or non-stick frying pan over a high heat. Spray both sides of the tuna with oil and cook for 1-2 minutes each side, or to taste. Remove and set aside.
  3. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, tomatoes and parsley. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Break the tuna into large pieces and toss through pasta with the tomato mixture. Serve immediately.
