To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 1/3 cup light spreadable cream cheese, 1 tbsp drained capers, finely chopped, 2 tsp lime juice, 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill, 6 slices wholegrain pumpernickel bread, halved , 50g packet smoked salmon, cut into 12 pieces, 1/4 small red onion, cut into thin slivers, extra dill sprigs and capers, to serve .

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup light spreadable cream cheese 
  • 1 tbsp drained capers, finely chopped 
  • 2 tsp lime juice 
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill 
  • 6 slices wholegrain pumpernickel bread, halved 
  • 50g packet smoked salmon, cut into 12 pieces 
  • 1/4 small red onion, cut into thin slivers 
  • extra dill sprigs and capers, to serve 

Instructions

  1. Combine cream cheese, capers, lime juice and dill in a small bowl. Spread evenly over one side of pumpernickel.
  2. Top with smoked salmon, red onion, and extra dill sprigs and capers. Serve.
