Char siu pork with noodle and sesame salad

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author sheff would need: 200g rice vermicelli noodles, 1 tsp sesame oil, 2 tsp vegetable oil, 2 tsp light soy sauce, 2 tsp caster sugar , 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted, 2 tbsp Chinese rice wine, 1/3 cup char siu sauce , 4 pork cutlets, 1 cup beansprouts, trimmed, 1 small red capsicum, finely sliced, 2 green onions, thickly sliced diagonally.
Ingredients:
- 200g rice vermicelli noodles
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp light soy sauce
- 2 tsp caster sugar
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 tbsp Chinese rice wine
- 1/3 cup char siu sauce
- 4 pork cutlets
- 1 cup beansprouts, trimmed
- 1 small red capsicum, finely sliced
- 2 green onions, thickly sliced diagonally
Instructions
- Place noodles in a heatproof bowl. Cover with boiling water. Stand for 10 minutes or until noodles are soft. Drain.
- Meanwhile, combine sesame oil, vegetable oil, soy sauce, sugar, half the sesame seeds and 1 tablespoon of rice wine in a small bowl. Set aside. Combine char siu sauce and remaining rice wine in a ceramic dish. Add pork cutlets and turn to coat.
- Drain noodles. Stir through beansprouts, capsicum, onions and soy sauce mixture.
- Lightly grease a barbecue plate or chargrill. Heat over high heat. Cook pork for 5 minutes each side or until cooked to your liking. Remove to a plate. Cover with foil and set aside for 5 minutes.
- Serve pork with rice noodle salad, topped with remaining sesame seeds.
