To make this dish at home by prescription from the author sheff would need: 2 tbsp hoisin sauce, 1 tsp Chinese five spice, 3 garlic cloves, crushed, 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated, 4 Coles Australian Pork Cutlets, French trimmed , 270g pkt dried soba noodles, 300g green cabbage, finely shredded, 1 cup coriander leaves , 1 spring onion, finely chopped, 1/4 cup white vinegar, 1 1/2 tbsp mirin, 2 tsp sesame oil.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce 
  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice 
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, grated 
  • 4 Coles Australian Pork Cutlets, French trimmed 
  • 270g pkt dried soba noodles 
  • 300g green cabbage, finely shredded 
  • 1 cup coriander leaves 
  • 1 spring onion, finely chopped 
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp mirin 
  • 2 tsp sesame oil 

Instructions

  1. Combine hoisin sauce, Chinese five spice, garlic and ginger on a plate. Add pork. Turn to coat.
  2. Heat a barbecue grill or chargrill on medium-high. Reduce heat to low. Cook pork for 7 mins each side for medium or until cooked to your liking.
  3. Meanwhile, cook noodles in a large saucepan of boiling water for 3-4 mins or until tender. Cool under cold water. Drain. Transfer to a large bowl. Add cabbage, coriander, spring onion, vinegar, mirin and oil. Season. Toss to coat.
  4. Serve pork with salad.
