Poached chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 litre Massel chicken style liquid stock 
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled, halved 
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme 
  • 5 x 250g chicken breast fillets 

Instructions

  1. Place stock, garlic and thyme in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to the boil. Add chicken. Return to the boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low. Simmer, covered, for 15 minutes or until chicken is just cooked through. Remove from heat. Stand chicken in liquid for 5 minutes. Remove chicken.
