To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 1 cup self-raising flour, 1 tsp onion salt, 1 tsp chicken salt, 2 tsp lemon pepper, 1 tsp white pepper , 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/4 tsp black pepper, 1/2 tsp dried mixed herbs , 2kg chicken wings, olive oil spray, oven-baked fries, to serve.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup self-raising flour 
  • 1 tsp onion salt 
  • 1 tsp chicken salt 
  • 2 tsp lemon pepper 
  • 1 tsp white pepper 
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper 
  • 1/2 tsp dried mixed herbs 
  • 2kg chicken wings 
  • olive oil spray 
  • oven-baked fries, to serve 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C. Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Combine flour, onion salt, chicken salt, peppers and mixed herbs in a large plastic bag.
  2. Spray chicken wings with oil. Add one-third of wings to flour mixture. Shake until well coated. Place onto prepared baking trays. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  3. Spray chicken with oil again. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes or until crisp and cooked through. Serve with fries or salad.
