Ingredients:

  • 30g butter 
  • 2 tbsp plain flour 
  • pinch ground nutmeg 
  • 1 1/2 cups milk 
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves 

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until foaming. Add flour and nutmeg. Cook, stirring, for 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in milk until combined and smooth.
  2. Cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes or until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Stir in parsley.
