Sage pork steaks with pineapple

Ingredients:

  • 4 small pork loin steaks or leg steaks 
  • 1/4 fresh pineapple, peeled, core removed, thinly sliced 
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced 
  • 1/4 cup sage leaves 
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup 
  • Green beans, steamed, to serve 

Instructions

  1. Spray a non-stick frying pan with oil. Heat on high. Cook steak for 2-3 minutes each side. Transfer to a plate.
  2. Add pineapple and onion to pan. Cook for 3 minutes, turning pineapple. Return steaks to pan with sage leaves.
  3. Drizzle syrup over. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened slightly serve with steamed green beans.
