Quick and easy to make, these "cheat's truffles" taste simply divine.

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author sheff would need: 500g Chocolate Block Cake, icing removed, coarsely chopped, 100g pkt Lindt Caramel Crunch Chocolate, finely chopped, 60ml chocolate or coffee liqueur, Large pinch of sea salt flakes, 2 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted .

Ingredients:

  • 500g Chocolate Block Cake, icing removed, coarsely chopped 
  • 100g pkt Lindt Caramel Crunch Chocolate, finely chopped 
  • 60ml chocolate or coffee liqueur 
  • Large pinch of sea salt flakes 
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted 

Instructions

  1. Line a tray with baking paper. Finely crumble the cake into a large bowl. Stir in the chocolate, liqueur and salt until well combined.
  2. Use your hands to roll rounded teaspoonfuls of cake mixture into balls. Place on the lined tray. Place in the fridge for 1 hour to chill.
  3. Place the cocoa powder on a plate. Roll the chocolate balls in cocoa powder to coat.
