To make this dish at home by prescription from the author WomanWorld would need: 8 oz. spaghetti, 1 tsp. oil, 2 c. cherry tomatoes, 1 tsp. minced fresh garlic, 1/2 tsp. dried oregano , 1 can tuna in water drained, 1 tbsp. drained capers, Freshly ground pepper and shaved Parmesan optional .

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz. spaghetti 
  • 1 tsp. oil 
  • 2 c. cherry tomatoes 
  • 1 tsp. minced fresh garlic 
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano 
  • 1 can tuna in water drained 
  • 1 tbsp. drained capers 
  • Freshly ground pepper and shaved Parmesan optional 

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package directions; drain, reserving 1/2 cup cooking water. Return pasta to pot. 
  2. Meanwhile, coat large nonstick skillet with cooking spray; add oil. Heat over medium heat; add tomatoes. Cook, stirring occasionally, until tomatoes start to soften, about 5 min. Add garlic and oregano; cook, stirring, 1 min. Stir in tuna and capers.   
  3. Stir tuna mixture into reserved pasta, adding a little of reserved pasta water if necessary to thin sauce. If necessary, re-heat over low heat. If desired, serve sprinkled with pepper and cheese.
