To make this dish at home by prescription from the author WomanWorld would need: 1 tbsp. olive oil, 1 1/2 lb. ground turkey, 1 onion chopped, 2 tbsp. chili powder, 1 tsp. salt , 1/2 tsp. pepper, 1 can tomato sauce, 2 c. frozen mixed vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, and corn, thawed , 1 c. grape tomatoes, 3 c. cooked rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil 
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground turkey 
  • 1 onion chopped 
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder 
  • 1 tsp. salt 
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper 
  • 1 can tomato sauce 
  • 2 c. frozen mixed vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, and corn, thawed 
  • 1 c. grape tomatoes 
  • 3 c. cooked rice 

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add turkey and onion; cook, stirring occasionally, until turkey is no longer pink, 6-7 min.
  3. Add chili powder, salt, and pepper; cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, about 2 min.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce. Cover; reduce heat to medium.
  5. Cook, stirring often, until flavors blend, 30 min.
  6. Stir in vegetables and tomatoes. Cover; heat through, 5-10 min. Serve with rice.
