I made this recipe for Christmas gifts shortly after moving home from Germany. Then a dear friend was getting married in Las Vegas, so I made sure to take some with me to help the couple celebrate. A good time was had by all.
- Combine water and sugars in saucepan.
- Heat until boiling over medium heat and until all the sugar is dissolved
- Add the apricot preserves. Boil for a couple more minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let mixture cool for about 15 minutes.
- Add the vodka, brandy, almond extract and vanilla extract.
- Store in a sealed bottle. Will be ready to drink in about 2 days. Enjoy!
