Native American Sassy Frassy Tea

Recipes / Coctails

This is a Native American Recipe taught to my great grandparents. Sassafras tea tastes like weak flavored root beer. Harvest, wash and dry out the roots of the red sassafras. This should be done in the spring before the sap starts to rise. Store once it is very dry You can purchase dried sassafrass root at Food Co Ops and Natural Food Stores. It will resemble wood chips.
