Baked four-cheese gnocchi with walnuts

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 300ml thin cream, 60g parmesan, grated, 25g gorgonzola* cheese, 50g shredded mozzarella, 50g Taleggio* cheese , 1 tbsp plain flour, 1 tsp Dijon mustard, 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg , 500g potato gnocchi, 1 egg, beaten, 50g toasted walnuts, 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley, 2 tbsp dried breadcrumbs.

Ingredients:

  • 300ml thin cream 
  • 60g parmesan, grated 
  • 25g gorgonzola* cheese 
  • 50g shredded mozzarella 
  • 50g Taleggio* cheese 
  • 1 tbsp plain flour 
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard 
  • 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg 
  • 500g potato gnocchi 
  • 1 egg, beaten 
  • 50g toasted walnuts 
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley 
  • 2 tbsp dried breadcrumbs 

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Place the cream and cheeses in a saucepan and stir over low heat for 1-2 minutes until melted. Whisk in the flour, mustard and nutmeg. Season with salt and pepper, then turn off heat.
  3. Meanwhile, cook gnocchi according to packet instructions.
  4. Add the egg to the cheese sauce with the walnuts and parsley, stirring to combine. Divide the gnocchi between 4 ovenproof dishes or bowls, pour the sauce over top and sprinkle with the breadcrumbs. Place in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden.
