This classic dipping sauce is a perfect accompaniment for any Asian banquet.

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 1 tsp peanut oil, 1 long red chilli, seeded, finely chopped, 1 garlic clove, crushed, 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter, 270ml can coconut milk , 1 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp Chang's oyster sauce, 3 tsp brown sugar , 1 1/2 tbsp lime juice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp peanut oil 
  • 1 long red chilli, seeded, finely chopped 
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed 
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter 
  • 270ml can coconut milk 
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce 
  • 2 tsp Chang's oyster sauce 
  • 3 tsp brown sugar 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lime juice 

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add chilli and garlic. Cook for 1 minute or until fragrant. Add peanut butter, coconut milk, soy sauce, oyster sauce and sugar. Cook, stirring, for 10 minutes, or until smooth and combined. Stir in lime juice. Serve.
