To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 2 tsp peanut oil, 1 bunch asparagus, cut into 4cm lengths, 125g baby corn, halved lengthways, 200g snow peas, trimmed, halved diagonally, 2 tsp grated fresh ginger , 1 garlic clove, crushed, 1 tbsp Kikkoman soy sauce, 1 tsp Chang's sesame oil .

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsp peanut oil 
  • 1 bunch asparagus, cut into 4cm lengths 
  • 125g baby corn, halved lengthways 
  • 200g snow peas, trimmed, halved diagonally 
  • 2 tsp grated fresh ginger 
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed 
  • 1 tbsp Kikkoman soy sauce 
  • 1 tsp Chang's sesame oil 

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan over a medium-high heat. Add asparagus and corn, and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the snow peas, ginger and garlic and stir-fry a further 1 minute.
  2. Add the soy sauce and cook for 1 minute. Toss through the sesame oil. Serve immediately, as an accompaniment to your favourite beef, lamb or chicken dish.
