Spiced haloumi with honey and lime

Ingredients:

  • 250g haloumi, cut into six 10cm lengths 
  • 60ml honey 
  • 1 lime, juiced 
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika 
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon 

Instructions

  1. Thread haloumi lengthways onto soaked bamboo skewers. Spray with olive oil.
  2. Preheat a barbecue grill or chargrill on medium. Cook haloumi, turning every minute, for 4 minutes or until charred and tender.
  3. Meanwhile, place the honey in a small microwave-safe bowl. Heat in microwave on high for 15 seconds or until honey is warm and runny. Whisk in the lime juice.
  4. Transfer the haloumi to a platter. Drizzle over the honey mixture. Combine the paprika and cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle over the haloumi.
