To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 2 x 22cm wholemeal baguette breads, halved lengthways, 1/4 cup wholegrain mustard, 8 slices rare roast beef, 2 medium tomatoes, sliced, 2 tbsp sliced black olives , 2 tbsp sliced pickled jalapeno chillies, 3 slices tasty cheese, halved, 2 iceberg lettuce leaves, shredded , 1 small carrot, peeled, grated, 1/2 small green capsicum, thinly sliced, 1 Lebanese cucumber, cut into ribbons.

Ingredients:

  • 2 x 22cm wholemeal baguette breads, halved lengthways 
  • 1/4 cup wholegrain mustard 
  • 8 slices rare roast beef 
  • 2 medium tomatoes, sliced 
  • 2 tbsp sliced black olives 
  • 2 tbsp sliced pickled jalapeno chillies 
  • 3 slices tasty cheese, halved 
  • 2 iceberg lettuce leaves, shredded 
  • 1 small carrot, peeled, grated 
  • 1/2 small green capsicum, thinly sliced 
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber, cut into ribbons 

Instructions

  1. Spread mustard over bread bases. Top bases with beef, tomato, olives, chillies, cheese, lettuce, carrot, capsicum, and cucumber. Sandwich with tops. Cut in half crossways. Serve.
