Asian style drumsticks with Asian salad

Wonderfully sticky and irresistible, these honey and soy glazed drumsticks are a firm family favourite.

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 8 chicken drumsticks, 1/2 cup Massel chicken style liquid stock, 2 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp Kikkoman soy sauce, 1 tbsp Leggos tomato paste , 2 tsp Ayam chilli sauce, 1 garlic clove, crushed, 1 red capsicum, deseeded, sliced thinly , 100g pkt baby Asian salad mix.

Ingredients:

  • 8 chicken drumsticks 
  • 1/2 cup Massel chicken style liquid stock 
  • 2 tbsp honey 
  • 2 tbsp Kikkoman soy sauce 
  • 1 tbsp Leggos tomato paste 
  • 2 tsp Ayam chilli sauce 
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed 
  • 1 red capsicum, deseeded, sliced thinly 
  • 100g pkt baby Asian salad mix 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place the chicken in a baking dish. Combine the stock, honey, soy sauce, tomato paste, chilli sauce and garlic in a jug. Pour over chicken and turn to coat. Bake, turning occasionally, for 35-40 minutes or until cooked through.
  2. Meanwhile, combine the capsicum and salad leaves.
  3. Serve drumsticks with the salad.
