To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 4 carrots, peeled, thinly sliced, 1 bunch radishes, washed, dried, stems and roots trimmed, thinly sliced, 1 red onion, halved, finely chopped, 2 tsp cumin seeds, 60ml fresh lemon juice , 60ml fresh lime juice, 1 tbsp honey, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon , Salt & freshly ground black pepper, 1 bunch fresh continental parsley, leaves picked.

Ingredients:

  • 4 carrots, peeled, thinly sliced 
  • 1 bunch radishes, washed, dried, stems and roots trimmed, thinly sliced 
  • 1 red onion, halved, finely chopped 
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds 
  • 60ml fresh lemon juice 
  • 60ml fresh lime juice 
  • 1 tbsp honey 
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon 
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper 
  • 1 bunch fresh continental parsley, leaves picked 

Instructions

  1. Combine the carrot, radish and onion in a large bowl.
  2. Heat a small frying pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until aromatic.
  3. Whisk together the lemon juice, lime juice, honey, cinnamon and cumin seeds in a bowl. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle the salad with dressing and sprinkle with parsley. Gently toss to combine. Serve immediately.
