To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 4 carrots, peeled, thinly sliced, 1 bunch radishes, washed, dried, stems and roots trimmed, thinly sliced, 1 red onion, halved, finely chopped, 2 tsp cumin seeds, 60ml fresh lemon juice , 60ml fresh lime juice, 1 tbsp honey, 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon , Salt & freshly ground black pepper, 1 bunch fresh continental parsley, leaves picked.
Ingredients:
- 4 carrots, peeled, thinly sliced
- 1 bunch radishes, washed, dried, stems and roots trimmed, thinly sliced
- 1 red onion, halved, finely chopped
- 2 tsp cumin seeds
- 60ml fresh lemon juice
- 60ml fresh lime juice
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- Salt & freshly ground black pepper
- 1 bunch fresh continental parsley, leaves picked
Instructions
- Combine the carrot, radish and onion in a large bowl.
- Heat a small frying pan over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook, stirring, for 1 minute or until aromatic.
- Whisk together the lemon juice, lime juice, honey, cinnamon and cumin seeds in a bowl. Taste and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle the salad with dressing and sprinkle with parsley. Gently toss to combine. Serve immediately.
