To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 2 cups SunRice Thai Jasmine Rice, 480g beef rump steak, 1 tbsp vegetable oil, 1 medium size cucumber, cut in half and sliced, 1 red onion, sliced , 1 punnet cherry tomatoes, 1/4 bunch fresh mint, roughly chopped, 4 tbsp fish sauce , 2 tbsp soy sauce, Juice of 1 lime, 2 tbsp sesame oil, 1/2 red chilli, deseeded, sliced.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups SunRice Thai Jasmine Rice 
  • 480g beef rump steak 
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil 
  • 1 medium size cucumber, cut in half and sliced 
  • 1 red onion, sliced 
  • 1 punnet cherry tomatoes 
  • 1/4 bunch fresh mint, roughly chopped 
  • 4 tbsp fish sauce 
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce 
  • Juice of 1 lime 
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil 
  • 1/2 red chilli, deseeded, sliced 

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a fry pan and fry beef until cooked to your liking, take out of the pan and leave aside to cool and slice thinly.
  2. Mix together all dressing ingredients in a bowl combine all other ingredients and add cooled beef.
  3. Pour the dressing over and toss together.
