To make this dish at home by prescription from the author sheff would need: 1/2 x 450g day-old Turkish bread loaf, 3 garlic cloves, crushed, 2 tbsp chopped fresh thyme leaves, 2 tbsp chopped fresh oregano leaves, 2 tbsp olive oil .

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 x 450g day-old Turkish bread loaf 
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh thyme leaves 
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh oregano leaves 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Tear bread into 3cm pieces. Place in a large bowl. Combine garlic, thyme, oregano and oil in a jug. Add to bread. Toss to coat. Arrange bread mixture, in a single layer, on prepared tray. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until browned and crisp. Cool on tray. Serve.
