To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 500g Coles Brand chicken mince, 1 brown onion, finely chopped, 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs, 5 eggs, 1 lightly beaten, 1 tbsp olive oil , 4 slices cheese, 4 rashers bacon, rind removed, 4 Coles Brand hamburger buns, split and lightly toasted , 1/2 cup grated cheese, Canned beetroot, Oak lettuce leaves, to serve, Tomato chutney, to serve, Oven fries, to serve.

Ingredients:

  • 500g Coles Brand chicken mince 
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped 
  • 1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs 
  • 5 eggs, 1 lightly beaten 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 
  • 4 slices cheese 
  • 4 rashers bacon, rind removed 
  • 4 Coles Brand hamburger buns, split and lightly toasted 
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese 
  • Canned beetroot 
  • Oak lettuce leaves, to serve 
  • Tomato chutney, to serve 
  • Oven fries, to serve 

Instructions

  1. Mix together mince, onion, breadcrumbs, grated cheese and beaten egg. Season well. Using hands, shape into 4 patties.
  2. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Cook patties for 3-4 mins, each side, until golden and cooked through. Top each pattie with a slice of cheese. Cook for 1 min, until cheese softens.
  3. Meanwhile, cook bacon and eggs in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat for 1-2 mins, until cooked to your liking.
  4. Lay lettuce over the base of each bun. Top with chicken pattie, bacon, beetroot, tomato chutney and an egg. Serve with fries.
