Recipe «Egg-free cookies» presented in category Recipes / Eggs, to prepare this dish you will need no more 12 minutes. To make this dish at home by prescription from the author sheff would need: 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour, 1/2 cup custard powder, 1/2 cup caster sugar, 125g butter, chopped, at room temperature, 1/4 cup milk , 1/2 cup glace cherries, chopped, plus extra quarters for top .
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
- 1/2 cup custard powder
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 125g butter, chopped, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup glace cherries, chopped, plus extra quarters for top
Instructions
- Preheat oven to moderate, 180C. Lightly grease and line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
- Sift flour and custard powder together into a bowl. Stir in sugar. Rub in butter using fingertips, until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Stir in milk and cherries. Form into balls. Arrange on prepared tray, about 2cm apart. Flatten slightly using a floured fork. Top each with a piece of cherry if liked.
- Bake for 10-12 mins, until golden. Cool on tray for 5 mins before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container.
