  • 1/2 cup boiling water 
  • 1 single shot hot espresso coffee 

Instructions

  1. Make coffee crush: Combine espresso and 1 cup cold water in a jug. Pour into an ice cube tray. Freeze overnight.
  2. Combine espresso and boiling water in a heatproof jug. Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours or until cold.
  3. Place coffee cubes in a plastic bag. Squeeze bag to expel air. Wrap bag in a tea towel. Place on a hard surface. Pound with a hammer or rolling pin until ice is crushed. Place in a serving glass. Pour over chilled espresso mixture. Serve.
