This milky Indian-style tea contains an aromatic blend of spices.

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 1-2 cardamom pods, 1 cinnamon stick, 250ml milk, 1 1/2 tbsp sugar, 2 tsp Indian tea leaves such as Darjeeling or Assam .

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 cardamom pods 
  • 1 cinnamon stick 
  • 250ml milk 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sugar 
  • 2 tsp Indian tea leaves such as Darjeeling or Assam 

Instructions

  1. Lightly bruise the spices in a mortar and pestle.
  2. Transfer to a pan, add 250ml (1 cup) cold water, milk and sugar.
  3. Cook over low heat for 2 minutes. Add tea and simmer for 1 minute. Strain and serve.
