To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 2 ruby red grapefruits, unpeeled, coarsely chopped, 2 tbsp caster sugar, 1 1/2 cups crushed ice, 375ml chilled vanilla-flavoured vodka, 185ml chilled fresh ruby red grapefruit juice , 185ml chilled pineapple juice Grenadine, to serve .
Ingredients:
- 2 ruby red grapefruits, unpeeled, coarsely chopped
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 1/2 cups crushed ice
- 375ml chilled vanilla-flavoured vodka
- 185ml chilled fresh ruby red grapefruit juice
- 185ml chilled pineapple juice Grenadine, to serve
Instructions
- Place grapefruit and sugar in a large plastic bowl and pound with the end of a rolling pin until grapefruit is crushed.
- Spoon the grapefruit mixture among serving glasses and top with ice. Combine the vodka, grapefruit juice and pineapple juice in a large jug.
- Pour vodka mixture among glasses. Add a dash of grenadine to each glass and serve immediately.
