Ingredients:

  • 2 ruby red grapefruits, unpeeled, coarsely chopped 
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar 
  • 1 1/2 cups crushed ice 
  • 375ml chilled vanilla-flavoured vodka 
  • 185ml chilled fresh ruby red grapefruit juice 
  • 185ml chilled pineapple juice Grenadine, to serve 

Instructions

  1. Place grapefruit and sugar in a large plastic bowl and pound with the end of a rolling pin until grapefruit is crushed.
  2. Spoon the grapefruit mixture among serving glasses and top with ice. Combine the vodka, grapefruit juice and pineapple juice in a large jug.
  3. Pour vodka mixture among glasses. Add a dash of grenadine to each glass and serve immediately.
