Everyone loves a great seafood pasta and this is one of the tastiest.

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 500g spaghetti, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 onion, finely chopped, 2 garlic cloves, crushed, 800g can chopped Italian Roma tomatoes , 1/2 cup dry white wine, 1 lemon, rind finely grated, 2 tsp caster sugar , 500g medium green prawns, peeled, deveined, tails intact, 500g firm boneless white fish fillets, cut into 4cm pieces, 600g mussels in shells, cleaned, beards removed, 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley, roughly chopped.

Ingredients:

  • 500g spaghetti 
  • 2 tbsp olive oil 
  • 1 onion, finely chopped 
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 800g can chopped Italian Roma tomatoes 
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine 
  • 1 lemon, rind finely grated 
  • 2 tsp caster sugar 
  • 500g medium green prawns, peeled, deveined, tails intact 
  • 500g firm boneless white fish fillets, cut into 4cm pieces 
  • 600g mussels in shells, cleaned, beards removed 
  • 1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley, roughly chopped 

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, following packet directions, until just tender (approx 12 min). Drain. Return to saucepan.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook for 3 minutes, or until onion is tender. Add tomatoes, wine, lemon rind, sugar, and salt and pepper. Stir until well combined. Bring sauce to the boil. Reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Add prawns and fish to sauce. Cook for 2 minutes. Add mussels. Cover. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until mussels open (discard any unopened mussels).
  4. Divide pasta between 4 serving plates. Spoon over marinara. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve.
