To make this dish at home by prescription from the author sheff would need: 1 tbsp Borges olive oil, 1 onion, finely chopped, 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped, 1/4 cup white wine, 700g Bertolli Provvista Sugo Classica Italian Cooking Sauce , 500g Spicy Pork ContinentalStyle gourmet sausages, Salt & freshly ground pepper, 1/4 cup chopped fresh continental parsley , 400g San Remo dried linguine, Shaved or ground parmesan.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp Borges olive oil 
  • 1 onion, finely chopped 
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 
  • 1/4 cup white wine 
  • 700g Bertolli Provvista Sugo Classica Italian Cooking Sauce 
  • 500g Spicy Pork ContinentalStyle gourmet sausages 
  • Salt & freshly ground pepper 
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh continental parsley 
  • 400g San Remo dried linguine 
  • Shaved or ground parmesan 

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over a medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes, until soft. Add the garlic and cook, stirring for 1 minute.
  2. Add the wine, cooking sauce and 1 cup (250ml) water. Stir to combine. Add the sausages. Bring to the boil. Reduce to a medium heat. Cook for 40 minutes.
  3. Remove the sausages. Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Slice the sausages. Return to the sauce. Stir in the parsley.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the linguine in a large saucepan according to packet instructions or until al dente. Drain and return to the saucepan. Add the sauce and sausages. Toss to combine. Divide among serving dishes. Top with parmesan to serve.
