Chilli and five-spice pork stir-fry

To make this dish at home by prescription from the author sheff would need: 450g packet fresh hokkien noodles, 400g pork fillet, thinly sliced, 1 tsp Chinese five spice, 1 1/2 tbsp peanut oil, 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed, cut into 3cm lengths , 1 red capsicum, thinly sliced, 1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce .

Ingredients:

  • 450g packet fresh hokkien noodles 
  • 400g pork fillet, thinly sliced 
  • 1 tsp Chinese five spice 
  • 1 1/2 tbsp peanut oil 
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed, cut into 3cm lengths 
  • 1 red capsicum, thinly sliced 
  • 1/4 cup sweet chilli sauce 

Instructions

  1. Place noodles in a heatproof bowl. Cover with boiling water. Stand for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender. Using a fork, separate noodles. Drain.
  2. Combine pork and five spice in a bowl. Toss to coat.
  3. Heat a wok over high heat. Add 2 teaspoons oil. Swirl to coat. Stir-fry pork, in batches, for 2 to 3 minutes or until browned and just cooked through. Transfer to a bowl.
  4. Add remaining oil to wok. Swirl to coat. Add asparagus and capsicum. Stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until tender. Return pork to wok with noodles and sauce. Stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through. Serve immediately.
