To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 2 cups SunRice Medium Grain Brown Rice, 480g beef sausages or pork sausages, 2 tbsp vegetable oil, 2 onions, sliced, 1 small red capsicum, cut into strips , 1 can tomatoes, chopped, 5 cups Massel chicken style liquid stock .
Ingredients:
- 2 cups SunRice Medium Grain Brown Rice
- 480g beef sausages or pork sausages
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 small red capsicum, cut into strips
- 1 can tomatoes, chopped
- 5 cups Massel chicken style liquid stock
Instructions
- In a saucepan heat the oil, add sausages and cook until browned and just cooked.
- Remove sausages from pan, place onto a chopping board, allow to cool, slice thickly.
- Add onions and capsicum to the saucepan, cook for a few minutes until soft while stirring occasionally.
- Add rice, tomatoes, stock and sausages, stir and bring to the boil.
- Cover pan with a lid and simmer on low heat until rice is just tender.
- Season with salt and pepper, stir and serve.
