To make this dish at home by prescription from the author Gomer would need: 1/3 cup barbecue sauce, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 3 garlic cloves, crushed, 1 tbsp peanut oil, 1kg chicken thigh fillets, trimmed, cubed , 2 tbsp sesame seeds .

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce 
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce 
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed 
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil 
  • 1kg chicken thigh fillets, trimmed, cubed 
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds 

Instructions

  1. Combine barbecue sauce, soy sauce, garlic and oil in a shallow glass or ceramic dish. Add chicken. Stir to coat. Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 4 to 5 hours, if time permits, for flavours to develop.
  2. Thread chicken onto skewers. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Preheat a barbecue plate or non-stick frying pan on medium-high heat. Cook skewers for 5 minutes each side or until cooked through. Serve.
